Fast Growing Florida Strain Bass
(Up To Three Pounds A Year)
100 Plus Fish Per Day
Lots of 6 to 9 Pound Fish Last Year
Updated Fishing Report
The beauty of the surrounding mountains and the sheer remoteness of
Lake Huites will keep you coming back time and time again. The 2001/2002
fishing season was the best ever. Stories of bass from 9 to 11 pounds
were almost a daily occurrence. But the real story at Lake Huites was
the amount of fish between 6 and 8 pounds reported by customers fishing
last season. It's normal to catch 50-100 bass per day with at least
a couple going over six pounds. Incredible numbers and big fish keep
Lake Huites on the top of all bass fishermen's dream list.
Huites was formed in 1995 by the damming of the El Fuerte and Chinipas
rivers, approximately 25 miles long and 30,000 surface acres. This massive
impoundment is located in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. There is no
shortage of food for these fast growing Mexican bass and their voracious
appetites. Talapia, shad, bluegill and catfish round out their high
nutrition diet. Huites is one of the best lakes in Mexico, if not the
world, and will be one of the top producers in bass fishing for years
to come.
